中東金蠍 Middle East Gold Scorpion (Scorpio maurus)

This Old World scorpion is from Africa.

 

This burrowing species is often found in desert habitats, but can also be found in dry forests.

 

Mildly venomous, but a painful sting. Harmless for healthy humans. This aggressive species will often use claws for defense, and not use the stinger.

 

Juvenile: L3 - L4, Sub-adult: L5 - L6, Adult: 7 - 8 cm
