艷鏡 Hedgehog lily (Massonia depressa)

This plant will be in hibernation mode during summer.  During summer (May to October), you will be receiving a caudex with no leave and you need to wait till winter for new growth of leaves.

- Massonia depressa is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae. It is orignated from South Africa

- It has two opposite leaves lying flat on the ground.White and yellow flowers in cluster 

- The flowers are uniquely scented like yeast

- The seed capsules are inflated, enabling them to be wind-borne

- Don't water your plant frequently in hibernation mode to prevent root rot
