Skimmia reeuesiana
Huamanhong (Ruby Pearl), also known as Red Star Alocasia and Purple Jade Coral, is an evergreen shrub in the family Rutaceae. The plant height is 0.5 to 1 mm. The height of the pot can be controlled at 30 to 50 cm. The single leaves are alternate and often gather small branches. The top is leathery and has glandular spots, which will emit aroma when rubbed. The leaves are elliptical or oblong-ovate, with apex acuminate, and sparse serrations along the entire edge or above the middle; cymose panicles are terminal, with reddish-brown flower buds. After opening, the florets are white and fragrant. The flowering period is from April to May; berry-like. Drupe, red, oblong to round, 8-15 mm long, with remaining calyx, matures from October to December.
