Ball pine is native to Algeria in North Africa. It likes a cool, dry and sunny environment, and can grow normally in semi-shade. It is drought tolerant and afraid of stagnant water.
The bulbous pine plant is short and compact, with clusters of green leaves on the branches, resembling pine needles, and the entire plant resembles a miniature pine tree.
