Hosta 'Gold Standard' was bred by Japanese horticulturist Masaaki Kobayashi. Its main characteristic is the golden to white wide margin that encircles the leaves. It is highly adaptable and can be used in woodlands, shaded flower beds, rock gardens, or as a potted plant. It is widely cultivated globally, especially suitable for landscaping in temperate to subtropical regions.
