Round-tailed bettas like dark environments. Snapdragons can be planted in the tank, and melaleuca and pebbles can be placed at the bottom of the tank to help create a hidden environment. Round-tailed bettas are not nocturnal fish. They are not active at night and lie on the water surface or rest in a quiet place.
