Red mouth goby (Rhinogobius sp)
HK$178
The red-lipped goby is a very rare freshwater goby native to Hunan, China. Their beautiful red spotted bodies and yellow lips make them look very special. They are commonly found in fast-flowing streams with sandy or stony riverbeds, often in relatively cool water. Like most gobies, red-billed gobies have sucker-like pelvic fins below their pectoral fins, which they use to cling to rocks and aquarium glass. A few live in still water, such as lake species, but most prefer the current. In their natural environment, these fish feed on larvae or other similar organisms. Frozen bloodworms and brine shrimp have always been their top choices.
Tip: During the period of adapting to the new environment, there may be fading and the body color will be darker. Depending on the environmental conditions, it will directly affect the recovery time of the body color.
Adult size: 5 cm
Temperature: 18 - 24°C
Food: fish feed, bloodworms, brine shrimp, black shell shrimp, algae
