Water Mantis (Ranatra chinensis)
Like water scorpions, water mantises use breathing tubes to extend out of the water to breathe. They usually live among aquatic plants in still waters.
The water mantis is a carnivorous insect, and its powerful sickle-shaped front legs are its sharp weapons. It mainly catches small fish, shrimps, tadpoles, larvae and other small animals in the water by waiting for rabbits, and then uses its piercing-sucking mouthparts to suck the body fluids of the prey.
Breeding temperature: 15-25℃
Food: Small fish and shrimps
