Peruvian fairy (Pterephyllum scalare peru)
The snout is pointed and slightly forward, the body disk is nearly round, the dorsal and anal fin spines are long and towering, and the overall shape is an upright triangle. The body color of Peruvian fairy is silvery white, with a brown head and back. There is a black line on the head passing through the eyes. There are two black lines on the side of the body. There is an elongated black triangular spot on the dorsal fin between the two lines, which sometimes appears faintly. There is a small dark streak (very light lines) extending downward, but it is never noticeable and never extends into the abdomen. In addition, a considerable number of Peruvian immortals will show jet spots in their body color after reaching sexual maturity.
