Water bamboo originates from India and Indonesia, and is cultivated in all provinces across China. It is widely distributed in areas south of the Yangtze River, and is the most common wild bamboo species in the Yangtze River basin and its southern regions. It is also a common plant in the Yellow River basin and areas to its south, mostly found along riverbanks and in valleys.

Try to maintain 4-6 hours of light daily; appropriately reducing light exposure can slow down water bamboo growth. For soil cultivation, choose sandy soil and lay a layer of coarse sand at the bottom of the pot. For water cultivation, change the water three times a week during summer and autumn, and once a week during winter and spring. For semi-hydroponics, it needs to be planted near flowing water.

Note: Water bamboo leaves have a fast metabolism. Slight wilting upon receipt is normal and does not affect normal growth; simply prune as needed.
