Patternless White and Orange Hypo Tangerine Albino (Hemitheconyx caudicinctus)
The Cow Stripeless, Recessive Orange and White Fat-Tailed Gecko is a selectively bred species. Its base color is a pure creamy white due to the "albino gene," while the "recessive orange" gene gives it a vibrant, translucent orange color. The "stripeless" trait eliminates the clutter of stripes, resulting in a stark, well-defined orange and white coloration, similar to cow piebald patterns. With a stocky build, short, thick tail, and docile nature, they are a true star among reptiles, combining multiple genes.
Maintenance Instructions:
- Choose a well-ventilated breeding box and cover it to prevent the gecko from escaping and running around.
- A heating pad is set at one end of the enclosure to maintain a temperature of 30-32°C, while the other end is maintained at a room temperature of 24-26°C, allowing the geckos to freely choose the desired temperature.
- It is recommended to use kitchen paper towels, kraft paper or professional reptile carpet, which are the safest and easiest to clean for beginners. Avoid using sand or sawdust to prevent accidental ingestion and intestinal blockage.
- The main food is insects such as crickets and Dubia cockroaches. Before feeding, the bait insects need to be coated with calcium powder and vitamin powder for reptiles.
