The hairy jumping spider, also known as the hairy jumping spider, is generally distributed from flatlands to low-altitude mountainous areas. It inhabits low woods and grass. When disturbed, it will swim away by jumping. It does not build webs and is a wandering spider. When it falls to the ground in a critical situation, it will spit out a thin thread to pull it.
