淡水鱼中越大越令人震惊的吉罗，在中国和东南亚流域进行了布局。其中史氏蓝吉罗祖先史氏新光唇，为进口品种，开口已食饲料，发色靓丽。小时候为银灰色，在发色后（正常养定下十几公分就可以开始发色）和鱼出现在出蓝色。食量大，适应能力强。同类群养偶尔打架，可与同体型相似的热带鱼混养。
它们喜欢生活在水流缓慢的江河湖泊中。身体上有淡色黑线，侧鳞黑线下有金色的线。
温馨提示：更好的发色需要辅以一定的设备。黑色的环境和合适的灯光能更好的欣赏到蓝吉罗闪鳞下的静寂幽蓝。新鱼入缸注意防跳缸，尽量给鱼缸加盖。
