Ceramic doll crab "Hermit crab mixed culture" (Metasesarma obesum)

The ceramic doll crab is a small crab, about the same size as a devil crab . Similar to hermit crabs, they live on land, hiding under leaves, wood , or burrowing in the sand. 

The color and pattern of white porcelain doll palm crabs vary greatly. I found some very bright, monochrome, whitish animals with little to no pattern on their carapace, but also some that showed some pink with lots of spots.

Features: Raised in land and water environments, can be raised in groups (needs adequate shelter)

Back armor size: 1-1.5cm

Adult size: about 6cm

Breeding temperature: 15 - 33℃

Food: Dried fish, dried shrimp, fish food, turtle food

1. Female crabs are darker than male crabs and have smaller claws.

2. Crabs will break their legs to survive when they are stressed. This is normal. After shelling, severed limbs will regenerate.

3. Although the sub-adults are lighter in color, they are very active. It usually takes about 1-2 times of shedding to become an adult.
