雨蛙又稱樹蟾，雖有「蟾」名，但沒有耳後毒腺，而是由於骨骼結構類似蟾蜍而得名。中國雨蛙體長2-3cm，雌雄體型差距很小，從吻端經眼睛到鼓膜有一條黑褐色縱帶，背部光滑，為綠色或草綠色，體側及腹部為白色或淺黃色，體側和大腿散布著大小不等的黑色斑點。
飼養建議：
- 飼養箱應選擇高度較高的款式，並在內部佈置樹枝、葉片和沉木供其棲息
- 飼養環境的濕度需維持在70%以上
- 提供乾淨水源，必須放置一個淺水盆，提供新鮮的飲用水
- 雨蛙只吃活餌，主食可選擇大小適中的蟋蟀、果蠅或麵包蟲
- 多數雨蛙適合生活在20-30°C的環境中
- 在飼養箱中設置充足的遮蔽物，比如植物葉背、人造躲藏穴等，讓其有安全感
