Coffee pepper grass originates from Sri Lanka. The leaves are in a needle-shaped radiating state, with wrinkled, wavy leaf edges and black cross features. The color of the leaves ranges from green, dark olive to brown depending on the light intensity, and the back of the leaves is reddish brown.
