The Costa Rican tiger tail is native to the tropical rainforests of Costa Rica. The adult body length is 12 to 13 cm and the foot span is 12 to 13 cm. It is recommended to use slightly moist peat, coconut bricks, and clay as the substrate. The 3L larvae of the Costa Rican tiger tail are about 0.8 centimeters. They usually grow to 2 centimeters and gradually show "tiger stripes" on the abdomen.
