The red-bellied pomfret is a species of the genus Cyprinidae and the genus Cyprinidae, and its scientific name is Cyprinus brevis. It is closely related to the commonly known "piranha".
Adult size: Fish raised in a tank can generally only grow to about 20-30 cm.
