Short-pile algae is a highly ornamental type of algae that many goldfish and ornamental shrimp keepers go to great lengths to cultivate.
Precautions:
1. Provide natural light or professional aquatic plant lights for 8-10 hours daily.
2. During the initial stages of algae bloom, it's recommended not to use a UV sterilizer. Even after the algae has grown, it's not advisable to use it for extended periods. It's suggested to use it for a maximum of 1-2 hours per day.
3. During the propagation of the algae species, miscellaneous algae such as brown algae and hair algae may appear. Timely cleaning should be noted.
