White camellia (Camellia japonica)
Camellia, also known as Japanese camellia, is an evergreen shrub and small tree in the Camellia family. The ancient name is sea pomegranate. It has aliases such as jade tea flower and winter-resistant camellia. It is also called Dongbai flower (Korean: 동백) in Korean. Dongbaek Island in Haeundae District, South Korea is named after camellia, and is divided into East China Camellia, Sichuan Camellia and Late Camellia. There are many varieties of camellia. It is a traditional Chinese ornamental flower. It ranks seventh among the "Top Ten Famous Flowers" and is also one of the world's most valuable flowers and trees.
