The Brownie Pepper Ficus is produced in West Kalimantan, in a tributary of the upper reaches of the Kapuas River called the Hulu River Basin. Its geographical location is quite special and it is a sparsely populated primitive tropical rainforest area. , this land is still inhabited to this day by the indigenous Dayak people. Belongs to one of the Brown Chili Ficus series. The origin of the name brownie is that Japanese collector Nakamoto Katuya named it. Because this new aquatic plant has no place name in its origin in Indonesia, and there are many types, he seems not to like to use traditional names. They were called by their new location or sequence, so they were collectively called ''Brownie'' (Chinese translated as ''Brownie'').
