The Platinum Alligator Gar, an albino variant of the Alligator Gar, is beautifully colored. It is very large, commonly reaching 50 cm, and can exceed 1 meter when kept in large aquariums. It is a very high-end ornamental fish.

The Albino Alligator Gar is a predatory carnivorous fish, extremely gluttonous, but not aggressive, and can be kept with other large fish of similar size.
