Bonsai pot, Tani Arashiyama, small pot, approx. 6.3 cm in length, rectangular pot, cut feet, glazed, actual item, used pot. Real name: Tani Hiroyuki. His bonsai hobby led him to create small pots. In 1979, he and five friends built a communal kiln and named it Rokuraku-gama. He might be better known by his pottery name, Rokuraku-gama. In 1985, he received the Chairman's Award at the National Amateur Small Pot Artists Exhibition, a Special Encouragement Award at the 2nd BONSAI Container Exhibition, and an Encouragement Award at the 1st Contemporary Small Pot Artists Exhibition. Although he was not prolific due to his busy schedule, he has been actively engaged in pottery since returning to his hometown.
