Bonsai Pot, Tokoname, Shibakatsu, Small, Approx. 12.5cm long, Rectangular Pot, Flared Rim, Current Stock, New Condition. Real name: Katsuhiko Shibata. Opened Shibakatsu-en kiln in 1977. Previously, molding was mainly done by press forming, but in recent years, the production has shifted to handmade pieces using a combination of slab and press forming techniques. They produce a wide range of pots, from natural clay colors such as Tokoname Shudei (vermilion clay) and Tokoname Shidei Nezumi-dei (purple-gray clay) to glazed pots, with a rich variety of colors and shapes.
