Seahorse tooth (Sesuvium portulacastrum)
Sea purpurea is a typical coastal plant and the only succulent that can be grown in salt water. It can grow normally in the salt soil of coastal swamps with a surface soil salt content of up to 40mg/g. It likes light but is intolerant of shade, drought-tolerant, water-humidity, and barrenness. It has strong vitality and does not care about the soil. It can spread continuously to form a carpet-like ground cover. In winter, the whole plant turns red. It is a good plant for windbreak, sand fixation, and bank protection.
