Lemon tetras are lemon-colored all over, with a transparent dorsal fin, bright lemon yellow at the front, and dense black stripes along the edge. The anal fin is also transparent, with a dark black edge, and the first few rays form a small, distinct lemon yellow line, mirroring the color at the front top of the dorsal fin. They do not attack other fish and can be kept with other small fish.
