Observe bird activities in city parks, understand the relationship between the environment and animals, learn about the habits and lifestyles of different bird species, and learn to identify their physical characteristics, calls, and habitat preferences. Also, learn how animals adapt to living in highly developed cities. Activity Difficulty: 1/5 The activity will include simple observation and recording exercises, allowing students to practice recording what they see through notes or drawings, fostering careful observation skills. Finally, there will be a group sharing session to discuss the role of birds in the urban ecosystem and guide students to think about how to protect urban wildlife. Suitable for primary and secondary school students who are new to birdwatching and interested in nature. Recommended age: 10-15 years old; children aged 10-12 must be accompanied by at least one adult. Binoculars, bird identification charts, survey forms, and stationery will be provided during the course. Participants must wear loose clothing, long pants, and athletic shoes. The activity will be divided into two sessions: a morning session from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and an afternoon session from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Guided tours in Cantonese and English are also available. Group bookings are welcome, and we will offer more favorable prices. The meeting and dismissal point is the Hong Kong Park Fountain Plaza. Latecomers and those separated from the group will be directed to a designated waiting area by the instructor. Special Reminder If participants are aged 13-15 and choose to attend independently, the organizer will provide a form that must be signed by a parent or legal guardian for participation. Guardians confirm that they fully understand the risks of the activity, agree to allow minors to participate, and assume all related responsibilities. If the number of participants is fewer than 3, we will notify participants in advance that the activity will be postponed or cancelled, and a refund will be arranged as soon as possible. The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions. When the Observatory issues special weather advisories, the instructor will contact all participants as soon as possible for further notification. If the activity is cancelled due to force majeure or weather conditions, the organizer will arrange for rescheduling or a refund as soon as possible.
