Bonsai pot Tani Arashiyama, small, approx. 11.3cm long, rectangular pot, sometsuke dragon and landscape design, with signature, contemporary artist, new, actual item. Tani Arashiyama, real name Hiroyuki Tani (born in Saitama Prefecture), started making small pots as a hobby, which grew into a passion. In 1979, he and six friends built a communal kiln and named it Rokuraku Kiln. He might be better known by his potter's name, Rokuraku Arashiyama. In 1985, he won the Chairman's Award at the National Amateur Small Pot Artists Exhibition, the Special Encouragement Award at the 2nd BONSAI Container Exhibition, and the Encouragement Award at the 1st Contemporary Small Pot Artists Exhibition....
