Bonsai Pot Gekka, with original box and cloth. Small size, approximately 17.4cm long. Oval, red-glazed, with sparrow design. New item. Real name: Ito Neitoshi. Fourth generation of the Tankyo Kiln. Started making sometsuke (blue and white) pots around 1969. Has received numerous awards at various exhibitions, including the Best Artist Award, Juseki-sha Award, and Kindai Publishing Award, for his elegant brushwork in sometsuke, aka-e (red-glazed), and iro-e (polychrome) works. His painting style is greatly influenced by Yusen, evolving from a meticulously detailed early style to a more concise, bold-lined approach, with noticeable changes in color usage.
