Bonsai Pot Tokoname Hideaki Yozan Kiln Small Oval Pot, approx. 17.5cm long, white glaze. Current product. Real name: Shimizu Hideaki. His father, Yozan, was a bonsai pot craftsman and one of Tokoname's leading glaze masters. His products mainly consist of small to medium-sized glazed items up to about 50cm. Round pots are basically made on a potter's wheel, while other bonsai pots are made using molds. The molds are cast thick and then re-carved by hand. He creates a wide variety of pieces, including those with cat-foot designs, painted designs, and earthy colored pots, with some being close to one-off creations and others being mass-produced.
