Real name: Kazuhiro Watanabe. He trained under his father, Shozan Watanabe, while researching glazes, and began firing small bonsai pots around 1978. He primarily uses slab construction for his glazed bonsai pots and suiban (water basins). His main glazes include Oribe, Jun glaze, white Kochi, yellow Kochi, and Ruri (lapis lazuli) glaze, with a wide variety of intermediate colors. He is a Tokoname bonsai artist who creates unglazed, small, and large bonsai containers, including pots and suiban. His artist name is read as "Kazuhiro" but is commonly pronounced "Ikko" in its Japanese reading...
