Real name: Kazuhiro Watanabe. Studied glazes while training under his father, Shōzan Watanabe, and began firing small bonsai pots around 1978. He primarily creates glazed bonsai pots and glazed suiban (water basins) using the slab-building technique. His glazes are mainly Oribe, Jun-glazed, white Kōchi, yellow Kōchi, and lapis lazuli, with a variety of intermediate colors also available. He is a Tokoname bonsai artist who creates pots and suiban in various sizes, from small to large, in unglazed clay. His artist name is read as "Kazuhiro," but it is commonly read as "Ikko."
