His father, Yozan, was a potter of bonsai containers and a leading master of glazes in Tokoname. His products primarily consist of small to medium-sized glazed items, up to about 50cm. Round pots are generally made on a potter's wheel, while other bonsai containers are made using molds. Molded items are thickly cast and then re-carved by Eimei himself. He produces a wide variety of items, including pots with paw feet, painted pots, and unglazed pots, with some pieces being close to one-off creations and others being mass-produced.
