Bonsai pot, Tokoname, Shuho, medium size, length approx. 26cm, ring-shaped rim, bag-style, green glaze, glazed, pre-owned pot. Shuho was founded in 1923 by Kataoka Touen, and the fourth generation, Kataoka Susumu, renamed it Yoshimura Touen in 1973. The following year, in 1974, he inherited the name Shuho. His pottery techniques are diverse, including coil building and press molding, and his works feature a neat form with a distinctive, tasteful shape. He also specializes in glazed pieces, and his masterful use of glazes shows his unique ingenuity.
