Shibata-Shoen kiln opened in 1977. Previously, press molding was the primary method, but in recent years, they have shifted to mainly handmade pieces using slab building and press molding. They produce a wide range of pots, from Tokoname red clay, Tokoname purple clay, and gray clay pots to glazed pots, with a rich variety of colors and shapes.
