Real name: Kazuhiro Watanabe. While training under his father, Shozan Watanabe, he researched glazes and began firing small bonsai pots around 1978. He primarily creates slab-built glazed bonsai pots and glazed suiban (water basins). His glazes include Oribe, Junyu (celadon), white Kouchi, yellow Kouchi, and Ruri (lapis lazuli) glazes, as well as various intermediate shades, resulting in a rich palette. He is a Tokoname bonsai pot artist who creates pots and suiban of various sizes, from small to large, in various clay colors. Although his artist name is read "Kazuhiro," it is commonly read "Ikko"...
