The Brazilian Ghost Scorpion (Tityus stigmurus) belongs to the family Buthidae and is a small, highly venomous scorpion species distributed in northeastern Brazil. It adapts well to captive environments. Its body color is a translucent amber-gold, with legs and tail exhibiting a ghostly, soft glow. The carapace and chelicerae have delicate reticulated patterns. It has a slender, streamlined body and is agile and nimble. As one of the unique pet scorpions, the Brazilian Ghost Scorpion can add a mysterious golden presence to an arthropod enclosure or rainforest terrarium, serving both ornamental and ecological control functions. It is suitable for keeping in a low-light environment with coconut coir or peat moss as substrate and providing hiding places.
