The body color of tiger fish is light yellow with red markings and small dots. There are 4 vertical black stripes from head to tail. The first vertical stripe passes through the eyes, the second stripe is between the gill cover and dorsal fin, and the third stripe is between the gill cover and dorsal fin. Three of them start from the end of the dorsal fin and go straight to the beginning of the anal fin, and the fourth one is at the base of the tail fin, which is as colorful as tiger skin, hence the name tiger fish.
