Striped Silver Dollar (Metynnis fasciatus)
The body is round and silvery on the sides, with a green-golden luster on the upper part; there are vertical dark gray stripes on the sides of the body, usually straight from top to bottom, while some are curved; there is a dark spot behind the eye. This spot is not always present and appears or disappears depending on the mood of the fish; there is a red anal fin hooked at the tip; the pectoral fin is reddish in color, but the rest of the fins are usually transparent. Distributed in the Capiru River in the middle reaches of the Amazon River Basin in Brazil, South America.
