Sarcocheilichthys davidi

The adult body of western Sichuan squid is bluish-gray on the back, light bluish-gray on the sides, lighter in color on the rear half, and off-white on the abdomen. Each fin is light gray-black. During the reproductive period, the body color is brighter, often orange-red, with the back darker and the abdomen lighter. The gill cover and cheeks of the first two measurements are orange. There is a dark black vertical stripe along the lateral line, the color is darker behind the dorsal fin, there are many irregular black spots on the side of the body, and there is a black vertical stripe on the side of the body close to the posterior edge of the gill cover.

Tip: During the period of adapting to the new environment, there may be fading and the body color will become lighter. Depending on the environmental conditions, it will directly affect the recovery time of the body color.
