Butterworts (Pinguicula ehlersiae)
Pinguicula ehlersiae is native to Hidalgo and San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Its leaves are covered with mucus-secreting glands that trap small insects like flypaper, digesting and absorbing them.
This butterwort turns pink when it receives sufficient light; it may appear green if there isn't enough light, but rest assured, the plant is healthy.
