Parabotia fasciata
The pied parasaurus inhabits the bottom of rivers with sandy and gravel substrates. Eats aquatic insects and algae.
There are 3 pairs of whiskers below the mouth. There are small spots on the head. There are 11 to 15 horizontal gray-black bands on the back and sides of the body. There is a large dark brown round spot at the base of the caudal fin; the dorsal fin and caudal fin have wavy stripes composed of brown spots.
Adult size: about 18 cm

Food: Sinking pellet feed, frozen bloodworms
