Water Scorpion/Matchmaker (Nepa chinensis)
Water Scorpion, also known as Hong Nianghua, has two escape skills to avoid being chased by natural enemies. The first unique skill is suspended animation. When a water scorpion leaves the water or is caught, it will appear in a state of suspended animation. No matter how you interfere, it will not move. The second unique skill is to dive into the water and blend with the sediment at the bottom. If it does not move, it will be difficult for natural enemies to find it.
The water scorpion has a long and thin respiratory organ at its tail, and its forelimbs are like the forearms of a mantis. They prey on fish, shrimp, small insects, etc. in the water.
Breeding temperature: 15-25℃
Food: Small fish and shrimps
