Family-Friendly Bird Ecological Guided Tour

Tour Introduction: Visit rural wetlands to learn about different bird species. The activity includes simple observation and recording activities and group discussions to cultivate scientific inquiry and careful observation skills. The instructor will also explain Hong Kong's conservation efforts, including the establishment of wetland reserves, research on migratory birds, and the importance of community participation.

📍 Location: Long Valley Nature Park

📌Meeting and Disembarkation Point: The meeting and disembarkation point is the Ho Sheung Heung Archway. Latecomers and those arriving alone will be directed to a designated waiting area by the instructor.

We will provide binoculars and bird identification charts for observation.

Please bring your own drinks, cooling supplies, etc.
Pets are not allowed to participate.

📚Learning Outcomes

- **Focus Development:** Pay close attention to environmental details during the activity, improving patience and focus, and discovering the charm of the real world beyond the game screen.

- **Parent-Child and Peer Interaction:** Parents and children will experience the activity together, enhancing communication between parents and children and among peers.

- **Communication Skills Development:** An interactive sharing session will be held at the end of the activity to cultivate logical thinking and public speaking skills.

Participants will be spending a significant amount of time outdoors during the activity. Please be aware of slippery surfaces and insect bites, and assess the risks yourself. If you have any questions about the guided tour, please feel free to contact customer service.

This activity is suitable for participants interested in insects, birds, and biodiversity.

Participants must wear loose clothing and long pants, and must wear athletic shoes (waterproof and high-grip shoes are preferred). Participants who fail to wear the above-mentioned attire will not be able to participate in the activity and will not receive a refund.

Group bookings are welcome; we offer more favorable prices.

Special Reminder:

If the number of participants is less than five, we will notify participants in advance of the postponement or cancellation of the activity and arrange refunds as soon as possible.

The itinerary may be subject to changes due to weather conditions. When the Observatory issues a special weather advisory, the instructor will contact all participants as soon as possible for further notification. If there is only light drizzle, participants may choose to continue the activity or leave, but no refund will be given.

In the event of cancellation due to force majeure or weather conditions, the organizer will arrange rescheduling or refunds as soon as possible.
