Orchid Mantis (Hymenopus coronatus)
Adult female orchid mantises are approximately 6-7 cm long, while males are only about 2.5 cm. Compared to females, males are extremely small, and males and females also have different appearances. Their walking legs have evolved petal-like structures and colors. Many different types of orchids harbor various orchid mantises, which possess perfect camouflage and can adjust their body color according to the shades of the flowers. Orchid mantises are the most beautiful species in the Mantodea order.

- Juveniles (instars 1-3): Fruit flies, ant eggs, micro cricket nymphs
- Sub-adults to adults: Fruit flies (adult), small crickets, flies, moths, honey water (for energy boost)
Common ailments during rearing:
- Refusal to eat: May be due to environmental stress or impending molting. Allow for quiet observation, adjusting temperature and humidity should resolve it.

- Fungal infection: Clean the enclosure, lower the humidity to around 50%, and ensure good ventilation for a period.
