The Bachma cutworm has stunning abdominal markings as an adult, which is a major feature of it. They should be reared with very thick substrate for them to dig deep tunnel nests. They also need a lot of humidity, and an environment that is too dry puts them at risk of death from dehydration. It is recommended to use moist peat, coconut bricks, and clay as the substrate.
