The Corydoras aeneus (Bronze Corydoras) is a highly popular species within the Corydoras family. They possess the typical adorable appearance of Corydoras: a round, short body, downward-pointing mouth for foraging, two pairs of sensitive barbels, and a dorsal fin outlined in black. They are gentle and active, enjoy living in groups, and can often be seen diligently sifting through the substrate at the bottom of the tank, searching for food scraps. They are an important species among freshwater ornamental fish.

Note: During transport, fright can easily cause their body color to fade. Their color will return to normal once they settle into their new environment. The coloring of the Corydoras aeneus is closely related to its living environment and care conditions; they will display a golden hue when properly cared for.
