Mosquito-repellent springgrass is native to the Northern and Western Cape provinces (S Namaqualand and Bokkeveld Mountains), South Africa.

Note: It will go dormant in summer, and only the bulbs will grow when entering the dormant period. Plant normally after receipt and the leaves will grow again in autumn.
