The "Lemon Blue" Cubaris is characterized by its metallic blue carapace, adorned with lemon-yellow markings along the edges. Some individuals display a "bald" pattern where the blue on the head is absent, resembling the surface texture of Jupiter. Native to Thailand, this is a cave-dwelling/wall-climbing isopod that rarely burrows into the soil. It is nocturnal, avoids light, and rolls into a ball for self-defense when startled. This species prefers warm and humid environments, with an ideal temperature range of 22-28℃ and humidity maintained at 70-85%. Good ventilation is crucial to prevent stuffiness. It is omnivorous, feeding on detritus and dead leaves. Regular calcium supplementation is necessary, and thorny plants should not be fed. When kept as pets, they require hiding spaces and a moderately moist substrate.
