Care Instructions:

• They prefer spacious, well-ventilated environments; glass tanks or reptile terrariums can be used for housing.
• Substrate must be used; coconut coir, bottom sand, and moss are recommended. Driftwood and hiding facilities (coconut bricks, bottom sand, moss, etc., available on websites) should be provided.
• They are skilled climbers; the tank needs a lid to prevent escape.
• It is recommended to prepare a separate molting bucket, with thick coconut coir for them to bury themselves.
• Insufficient humidity will cause their gills to dry out; regular misting is required.
• Hermit crabs cannot drink tap water directly, as it will be fatal. Purified water can be used.
• Both a freshwater bowl and a saltwater bowl must be provided simultaneously.
• Daily, they can be fed fruits, fish and shrimp meat, or specialized crab food.
• When changing shells, you can select shells that are 1-2 cm longer than their old shell and 1-2 cm wider at the opening for them to choose from.

The Giant Hybrid Rugose Hermit Crab is a rare hybrid species, larger than its parent individuals, approaching the size of a small coconut crab. It is bolder than the rugose hermit crab and less aggressive than the spiny hermit crab, with higher interactivity.
